Recruiting: Terrel Nemons Update

Cedar Hill DT Terrel Nemons is one of the state's top defensive tackle prospects in a year that is absolutely loaded with interior line talent. At times he's listed Texas, OU and KU as the major players for his services. But he's talkin' five now. Four from the Big 12 and one from the SEC.

"My top teams are: OU (offer), Texas, LSU (offer), Kansas (offer) and OSU (offer)," Terrel Nemons said.

"OU just has a tradition of winning," Nemons said on his order of favorites. "And they have good defensive tackles coming out of their program every year."

On UT: "That's been my favorite team growing up. I like the school, the coaches, everything."

On LSU: "One of their coaches came down to one of my practices and it seems like LSU would be a good place to go since they just won a national championship."

On KU: "Our quarterback from last year (Marcus Hereford) went up there and he's been telling me a lot about it. And the (Kansas) coaches are sayin' that I can start up there as a freshman."

On OSU: "When I went up there, I got to see the campus, the facilities and the academics. They seem like they have a good academic and football program."

Weight room-numbers: Bench: 360, Squat: 540, Power clean: 300.

Nemons is qualified, boasting a 3.0 GPA and 1120 SAT score.
