Recruiting: Conversation with A.J. Nicholson

The talented linebacker from Winston-Salem, North Carolina is currently resting up in anticipation of a busy January.

HR: "A.J., give me your current height, weight and a good forty time."

A.J.: I'm 6-2, 230 and I've run in the high 4.5's."

HR: "Do you run any track?"

 A.J.: "I run the 55-meter."

 HR: "What's your best time?"

 A.J.: "I've run a 6.7."

 HR: "Give me your best bench, squat and vertical leap."

 A.J.: "I have a 375 bench, 520 squat and 34 ½ inch vertical."

 HR: "What position did you play this season?"

 A.J.: "Inside linebacker."

 HR: "And you're projected as?"

 A.J.: "A middle linebacker."

 HR: "How are your academics?"

 A.J.: "Good. I'm carrying a 3.2 GPA and have made straight "A's" this quarter. I've also scored an 820 on the SAT."

 HR: "Do you have your stats from this season?"

 A.J.: "I had 153 solos with 27 assists, five fumble recoveries, seven caused fumbles, 11 sacks, 37 other tackles for losses, three pass deflections and two interceptions, one I returned 30 yards for a touchdown>'

 HR: "What about your visit schedule?"

 A.J.: "The only official visit I've made so far is to Texas. I visited the weekend of their game with Kansas (November 9th). I have trips scheduled to Florida State for January 11th, Miami January 18th and Tennessee January 24th. I'm also going to squeeze in Georgia and North Carolina, so it's gong to be a busy January."

 HR: "I assume all you offered?"

 A.J.: "Yes sir."

 HR: "Do you have a favorite?"

 A.J.: "No sir, not really. I want to give everyone a fair chance. Everyone really rolls out the red carpet for you."
