Derrick Williams Talks Official Visit Agenda

Caught up with Greenbelt, Maryland, WR Derrick Williams last night to see what his official visit agenda is looking like. More on that, as well as his thoughts on Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas, below...

"So far, I took official visits to Florida (9/26), Penn State (10/31) and Tennessee (11/28)," Derrick Williams told "I'm going to take an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend (12/10) and probably one to Texas after that. But I'm also looking at South Carolina a little bit."

This week, both SC head coach Steve Spurrier and Mack Brown are expected to either make an in-home visit or send assistants to the home on Williams in order to secure that last official visit.

Asked what he's looking for in terms of pushing either team over the top to land his last official, the Nation's No. 3 player overall (per, said "I've got to see what they're (SC and UT) talking about, hear them out. See which one I like the most."

Dean: Thoughts on his next official to Oklahoma?

Williams: They're a school that's on top right now in terms of winning and playing for championships. And their school has a history of doing well with preparing freshmen to play their first year. So, that's something I'm looking at.

Dean: And South Carolina...

Williams: They have Steve Spurrier now. You have to listen to what he has to say. His offense will be wide-open and a good system for wide receivers. And, since that's what I'm going to play in college, just want to hear what he has to say.

Dean: Texas?

Williams: I just know a lot about them with my brother being recruited and playing for Mack Brown at North Carolina. I've also been down to one of their camps and really liked it. Also, you have to see what they're doing down there with putting players into the League. (Texas) is a football school.
