R.J. Jackson Has Two Programs At The Top

R.J. Jackson, Houston Westside tailback, cancelled his official visit to UT. At this time, he is presently sitting in the airport waiting on a 9:00 pm flight to Gainesville, and will definitely trip to Florida. The 5-11, 200-pound running back, rated four stars by Scout.com lays it all out for us, explaining why he did not trip to UT, what questions he has for Urban Meyer and Company, not to mention his two leaders going into to this weekend offficial...

R.J. Jackson, Texas Hot 100 #9, said he did not take his official visit to Austin because he said coaches were in his house all week, he got very little sleep, and that he began to feel a lot of pressure and anxiety, not to mention was just flat out worn out, and so he stayed home to try to recuperate.

"That doesn't hurt Texas' chances at all. I've always had Texas up there, and I know pretty much all there is to know about the school."

At this time, he's headed to Florida, but Urban Meyer and Gang will have some questions to answer.

"They said I was their No. 1 back and then they took another back (Kestahn Moore). So, what's up with that?"

Jackson said at this time it is "LSU and Texas" who lead for his signature. While he did say that he's going into the trip to UF with an open mind, he feels that UT and LSU will still be tops on his list.

So why take the trip to Gainesville?

"They're still up there, and my boy (Brandon La Fell) will be there tomorrow. We've been planning this trip for a while. And I just want to hear the coaches out."

OSU has slid from serious contention, as has TCU. Meanwhile, it appears that Florida has also dropped, at least prior to Jackson taking the trip to the Sunshine State.

"I'll know more after this weekend, obviously."

Our prediction today?

Toss-up...

It's between LSU and UT...

Decision-time frame?

"Monday..."
