On a scale of 1-10, the 6-3, 180-pound wideout's official to Florida State got a "10", the official visit to Miami got a "10" and the unofficial visit to Texas (a while back when Rouse tripped to Austin with his uncle, who lives in Killeen, Texas) received a "9".
"The only reason (Texas) got a 9 is because it wasn't an official visit," Rouse explained. "So, I wasn't able to really check it all out."
What happened with the Mack Brown in-home visit this past week?
"I don't know what happened," Rouse revealed. "Texas was supposed to come in. But they never showed up."
As for why he elected to give the Seminoles an official visit and not the Longhorns, Rouse said, "They (Texas) are the ones who changed the visit. I would have gone there but they changed it."
We think Rouse is referring to the fact that he was scheduled to officially visit Austin immediately after the U.S. Army All-American game. However, the UT coaches tried their best to battle Miami head-to-head for the 1/21 official visit instead, with the Canes winning out. Also, it was believed that the Horns would do their best to beat out FSU for the 1/28 official visit, but when Brown failed to do an in-home visit, that apparently kept UT out of the race to even contend for the 1/28 official visit.
Rouse gave us his top choices today and they are FSU, Miami and Texas.
Asked where his mom wants him to go today, Rouse said, "Texas."
Asked which team his dad supports, Rouse said, "Florida State."
Asked where his uncle from Killeen, Texas wants him to sign, Rouse said, "Texas."
And, if you didn't already know, his boys want him to stay in Tallahassee...
And if Ryan Perrilloux inks with the Longhorns?
"I'm not going to base my decision on nobody else. I'm going to base my decision on whatever I think is the best decision for myself."
So where does the Nation's No. 6 (per Scout.com) see himself landing?
"I don't know. Check back with me on Wednesday, or Thursday. Right now, it's even. I could go to any of the schools that are high on my list."
