Recruiting: In-State Battle For Top DE Prospect

Kilgore DE Eddie Jones is one of the top defensive end prospects in the Lone Star State. He currently has a top three and we visit with him about his favorites.

"Right now, my favorites are Texas and Texas A&M," Kilgore DE Eddie Jones said. "Out-of-state, I'm looking at Nebraska. But I'm probably going to pick between Texas and Texas A&M."

Jones, who goes about 6-3, 225 pounds, has unofficially visited both the Ags and the Horns and said he expects to make the Orange-White Game April 2 as well.

With the Longhorns concluding their spring training April 2, Jones will begin his shortly after that. And he said he'd like to make a commitment at or about the start of Kilgore's spring training...

"I 'd just like to get it out of the way so I can concentrate on my senior year," Jones said.

At this point, UT is sittin' pretty, A&M is also looking good (but a bit behind Texas). Nebraska, meanwhile, stands a chance, but far less than the Horns and the Ags.
