Kenneth Beasley Gives UT His Verbal Commitment

Eddie Jones, Kilgore DE, told earlier tonight that not only did he commit to UT but that West Orange Stark ATH Kenneth Beasley also took the plunge. So, I caught up with Beasley's mother to confirm his alleged commitment to the Longhorns.

"Dion called me earlier to tell me that he had committed to UT today," Mrs. Beasley told Inside Texas. "But I told him to wait a while before commiting -- he's still a junior. The UT coaches also called to tell me that Dion committed."

The West Orange Stark athlete projects as a cornerback and wide receiver. He can play either position very well, but most think he can be of even more value as a corner on the next level, especially given his size/speed package (5-10, 170, 4.4). He's also a candidate to become a return specialist.

Inside Texas and Scout will continue trying to reach Beasley to see where he currently stands with regard to making a solid or soft verbal...

Beasley's mother said she preferred that her son "wait until January or Febuary," in order to make sure that he is making the "right decision."
