Spring Game Visitor: Sergio Kindle

Dallas Wilson LB Sergio Kindle is a candidate for the top prospect in the state of Texas, and with the talent that abounds in Texas, that is saying a lot.

Kindle is a phenomenal player who has college coaches drooling over the thought of him attending their school. The star player can play on either side of the ball: as a junior last season, he rushed 214 times for 1,825 yards and 25 touchdowns on offense and he had 126 tackles, including 8 sacks, on defense. He was offensive MVP in his district and was first team all-district on both sides of the ball. He also earned honorable mention all-state honors on both sides of the ball.

Kindle brought that impressive resume to Austin for the Orange-White Game on Saturday and shared a few of his thoughts on the game with Inside Texas.

"It was a heck of a game," the future five-star prospect said. "I had the chance to talk to every coach and all of the recruits. Coach Chizik allowed me to sit in on a meeting he had with all of his LBs. It was amazing how everyone made me feel so wanted. The hospitality from the coaches and students was fantastic. Coach Brown told me that I'm one the top players on his list and that next season UT will be in need of LBs and I could really fill that void with a lot of playing time. Overall, the trip was amazing."

Kindle currently claims 14 offers. "I have been offered by Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, SMU, LSU, Arkansas, Nebraska, TCU, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona," the star player said. "Texas is currently my leader."

Sergio also attended UT's Junior Day Event back in late February and had plenty to say about that visit to the Forty Acres. "It was a wonderful trip," he said. "What really stuck out to me was the practice facility. We had the chance to tour every facility on campus and it was a great trip."

He is currently being recruited by TE Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Bruce Chambers. Kindle has been able to feel a bit of a bond with Coach Chambers due to both being from the city of Dallas. "I can really relate to Coach Chambers. He is from Dallas like me and he knows a lot about this area."

Kindle is currently qualified GPA-wise and plans to take the SAT in May.
