Recruiting: Sherrod Harris Names A Leader

Arlington Bowie QB Sherrod Harris is eyeing Texas as one of his possible destinations. He visits with Scout.com about his offers, stats, and where the Horns rank on his list at this stage of the game...

While the current Texas recruiting class is chock-full of blue-chippers, some Orangebloods are anxiously awaiting the first QB commitment for '06. Thus far, the Longhorns have known offers out to five signal caller prospects: Sherrod Harris, Orie Lemon, Matthew Stafford, Mitch Mustain and Jevan Snead. However, Lemon is also a candidate for linebacker and defensive end as much if not more than at quarterback. The other four are in fact true QB candidates (although with varying skill sets). And, we recently caught up with Harris, a 6-2, 210-pound field general (with 4.9 forty speed) to grab some news and notes pertaining to his recruitment.
