One of Texas' most-heralded commits of the year just so happens to be the Horns' largest pledge as well. Standing at 6-7 and weighing in at 280-pounds, North Mesquite's J'Marcus Webb is a giant on the offensive line.
With his size 22 shoes and his eagle-like wingspan, J'Marcus Webb
keeps defenders at a distance at all times. Through 239 passes Webb allowed only one sack on the season. On film, the first thing that you notice about J'Marcus is that he actually doesn't need to be pointed out. He stands out over the rest of the line. You also see that he is a solid 280. He's not what you call a "dough boy"; he has a very muscular frame. When it comes to his game, he does an excellent job in pass protection, keeping the defender in front of him. He is not yet as aggressive in run blocking as you'd like to see, but he gets the job done. At this point, he resembles a slightly less-aggressive Reggie Youngblood. Watch as the future Longhorn protects the pocket.
