ScoutTV: Mon Williams Scouting Video

Standing at 6-0, 190-pounds, RB Mon Williams from Mesquite Horn is a load for anybody to bring down. With his tall, lean frame and sprinter's stride, he looks suited to be an effective college running back and/or receiver.

Most teams are recruiting Mon Williams as a running back, but he's also being recruited by others as a wideout and linebacker. Schools like Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are already hot on the trail of the Mesquite athlete who claims scholarship offers from most of the Big 12 powers.

In this scouting video, what grabs you first about Mon is his ability to run between the tackles with the utmost efficiency and use his entire body to fall forward for extra yards. His straight-ahead, no-nonsense approach to running the football allows him to avoid plays where he goes backwards and loses yards. Once he finds a seam he plunges right into it, pushing and plowing all the way. Watch as he takes some Longview Lobos along for the ride.
