Texas bows out of new stadium's debut

When USC opens its new baseball stadium in 2008, the Texas Longhorns will not be in town to help break it in. Gamecocks coach Ray Tanner said Monday that Texas, which was scheduled to be USC's first opponent if the stadium opened as originally planned in 2007, could not adjust its schedule to accommodate a trip to Columbia in '08.
