UT's Taylor posts bond, released from jail

Texas running back Ramonce Taylor posted a $5,000 personal recognizance bond Monday and was released from the Bell County Jail after being charged with state jail felony possession of marijuana. State District Judge Martha Trudo ordered Taylor to undergo drug-and-alcohol testing every other week starting Monday. Taylor didn't talk to reporters before returning to Austin, where he was scheduled to take a final exam Monday. Full story

Track: HBO update on UT's Kearney airs Tuesday

Bev Kearney's inspirational story will be presented to the nation once again tonight, and plans also are in the works to promote the message of the University of Texas women's track and field coach to an even wider audience. HBO's Emmy Award-winning "Real Sports," which in 2004 first documented Kearney's recovery from her 2002 car accident that nearly killed her and left her with severe spinal injuries, will do an update segment on tonight's show. Also being planned are a major motion picture and book on Kearney, who after extensive rehabilitation can now walk without assistance. Full story
