2005 Flashback: Texas 25, Ohio State 22
In just the second week of the season, the Texas-Ohio State game was essentially an elimination game in the national title race. The Horns silenced 100,000-plus in the Shoe early, but the Buckeyes threatened to pull away several times. The UT D, though, would not allow it to happen, and after Vince Young and Limas Sweed hooked up in the game's final minutes, Texas was on the road back to Pasadena.

Texas sweeps Athlete of Year honors
While Texas is the Lone Star State, its namesake school boasted two equally brilliant stars, though perhaps they illuminated different parts of the galaxy. Vince Young and Cat Osterman were named the 2005-06 Big 12 Athletes of the Year on Monday, marking the second straight year Texas has swept top individual conference honors.
