Jerron Rouser: 2008 LB likes a SEC school

Linebacker Jerron Rouser put together an excellent sophomore season at Bowie High School. He is well on his way to becoming one of the best linebacker prospects in the state of Texas. Rouser has expressed interest in several schools, but an elite SEC program is in the lead to land his services.

Jerron Rouser likes several aspects that the LSU Tigers offer, and they are his overall favorite.

"They have my choice in a major," Rouser said. "They also have prestigious coach and I like that.

The 6-foot-1, 225 pound Rouser runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds. He recorded around 80 tackles and had five sacks from both his linebacker and defense end positions during his sophomore season. He believes that his speed and reaction time make him a force on the football field.

Rouser also expressed interest in Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and Kansas State. He has visited Nebraska in the past and plans on going to watch a Corn Huskers game in the fall. He also expressed interest in going to watch Texas and Oklahoma play at Dallas in the Red River Shootout.

Rouser is looking for a school with good tradition and should start hearing from college coaching staffs in the near future.
