Two Talented Junior Prospects at Rowlett

Rowlett High School has two very talented juniors on their roster. Defensive tackle Hendric Chatman and wide receiver Reed Graham both have what it takes to play Division I football. Both kids are already getting letters from college programs and are putting up good numbers to begin the 2006 season. Head Coach Kiff Hardin spoke highly about both of his junior prospects.

"Hendric is a big, physical, strong kid," Hardin said. "He has quick feet and is going to be a physical force for us. He understands leverage well."

The 6-foot-1, 255 pound Hendric Chatman is an excellent student. He is as good on the football field as he is in the classroom. He is already receiving a lot of mail from college programs.

The 6-foot-1, 175 pound Reed Graham is also gaining a ton of interest. In Rowlett's first two games, Graham has caught 11 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown. He is a fast kid and has all the tools that a great wide receiver should possess.

"Reed is a wide receiver with great hands," Hardin said. "He has good speed. He runs in the mid 4.5s. He jumps real well and is a great route runner."

Both of these kids are very smart on and off the football field. Coach Hardin talked the intelligence factor with both kids and named a couple of the schools that they are hearing from.

"Kansas called on Reed the other day," Hardin said. "Hendric is a real good student. Both of these kids are good students. I think they got some information through the mail from Duke the other day."

With continued success over the next two years, both Chatman and Graham should become big time prospects. A big junior season could catapult them to the next level.
