Great Junior QB at San Antonio Lee

San Antonio Lee Quarterback Jerome Tiller has the size, speed and athletic ability to play football on the next level. Offensive Coordinator Robert Bruce spoke highly of Tiller and one of his teammates.

"Jerome is a great leader," Bruce said. "The kids rally around him and respect him. He is like an engine. He keeps the kids going."

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Jerome Tiller runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. He has led the Volunteers to a 2-0 start in 2006. In last week's 57-3 beat down of the Highland Owls, Tiller gained 215 total yards and scored five touchdowns.

Tiller is a special football player, but he can't do it all by himself. Adrian Delgado makes up a key component of the Volunteer offensive line. Coach Bruce raved about the 6-foot-4, 280-pound Delgado as well.

"He is a great blocker," Bruce said. "He finishes his blocks. Last week, he was our offensive player of the week for the o-line."

Tiller and Delgado will definitely play a big part in the Volunteer's success this season. They are already off to a good start and should start hearing from Division I schools in the next couple of months.
