Coach Thomas Brooks weighs in on Dorsey

John Tyler High School is very consistent when it comes to producing Division I athletes. This year is no different. Head Coach Thomas Brooks has a tenacious blocker in Adren Dorsey. He raved about Dorsey's talent and talked about what he can bring on the next level.

"He is quick for his size," Brooks said. "He runs a 4.9 forty. He is very strong. He benches 315 pounds."

Coach Brooks also talked about how easy it is to coach Adren Dorsey.

"He is very intelligent. He has a 3.1 GPA," Brooks said. "He is very smart. You can tell him things one time and he will remember them."

The 6-foot-3, 294 pound Dorsey plays offensive guard at John Tyler. His college position is still up in the air as some experts think he would fit in better at defensive tackle. Dorsey has the size and potential to play both spots.

Dorsey is without a doubt one of the better prospects that the state of Texas has to offer for the class of 2008. Coach Brooks ran down the list of schools that Dorsey is hearing from right now.

"Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, Nebraska, TCU, and Baylor," Brooks said. "That is who he is getting letters from right now."
