J.B. Shugarts Reacts to UT/OSU Game

J.B. Shugarts is possibly the most sought after junior prospect in the nation. He has already racked up 13 scholarship offers and many more are on their way. The offensive tackle from Klein High School was in Austin for the highly anticipated game between Ohio State and Texas. He had a great visit and talked about his experience.

"It was awesome," J.B. Shugarts said. "I got to go out on the field before the game and watch warm-ups. It was a lot of fun. I had a great time."

Shugarts hung out with a two extremely talented junior prospects from Gilmer High School while in Austin.

"David Snow and Justin Johnson were there," Shugarts said. "There might have been others, but those are the guys that I'm good friends with."

Shugarts also talked with a couple of the members of the Longhorn coaching staff including Head Coach Mack Brown and Offensive Line Coach Mac McWhorter.

"I talked to Coach Brown and Coach McWhorter," Shugarts said. "We ate with Coach McWhorter before the game. We mostly just talked about how the season was going. Just football stuff."

Shugarts has been receiving scholarship offers left and right over the past couple of weeks. He already has more offers than he can count on one hand.

"I have gotten more offers," Shugarts said. "I have offers from Ohio State, Florida, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Michigan, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Miami, Duke, LSU, Baylor, Oklahoma and Virginia Tech. I am waiting for more that have told me they've offered."

Shugarts is still wide open as far as the schools that he is interested in.

"I like all of them," Shugarts said. "I'm giving everybody a fair chance."

Shugarts would love to make a couple more unofficial visits this season, but it is still up in the air whether he will be able to.

"I gonna try," Shugarts said. "We have practice on Saturdays and my coach doesn't like me to miss practice. I am probably going to the Ohio State Michigan game on November 18th."

When should you expect Shugarts to commit?

"I will probably commit a little bit earlier than signing day, but I want to check everybody out first."
