Longhorns' running game goes deep
Kerrville Daily Times
The focus on the spate of injuries is on the defensive side, but the fact is the University of Texas football team took a hit in its offensive backfield during Saturday's 37-14 win over Iowa State. Senior tailback Selvin Young lasted about a quarter, sticking around long enough to score the 25th touchdown of his career on a short run before heading to the sidelines to nurse sore ribs. But, there was not a great amount of gnashing of teeth on the Longhorns' sideline because, again, Texas' depth at the running back position makes quick changes merely a matter of plugging in the next talented body.
