Clayton Walker: Physical Tackle at Wimberley

Clayton Walker plays offensive and defensive tackle at Wimberly High School. He is a real physical kid with a ton of potential. Head Coach Weldon Nelms spoke highly about his star junior.

"Clayton is a real strong, physical kid," Nelms said. "He reads the ball real well. He runs a 5.1 forty so he is pretty quick. He is one of those big, strong linemen that play real strong up front."

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Walker has excelled on both sides of the ball this season at Wimberley. He is already receiving a lot of mail from Division I programs. Coach Nelms ran down the list of the teams that have shown the most interest in Walker.

"He is gaining a lot of interest," Nelms said. "Georgia Tech, Missouri, the University of Texas El Paso, North Texas, Baylor, Kansas State and Kansas are all sending him a lot of mail."
