Johnson got to talk with a handful of junior prospects including possibly the best that the state of Oklahoma has to offer.
"I got to talk to Jameel Owens. We got to talk a lot. I have heard a lot about him," Johnson said.
This was the second big Texas game that Johnson has attended this year. He was also in Austin for the Ohio State game. He didn't get a chance to speak with any of the coaches or players but gave them a friendly gesture during warm-ups.
"I waved at them when they were warming up," Johnson said. "But that was about it."
Johnson has been picking up scholarship offers left and right as of late. Halfway through his junior season, the number is already up to nine.
Gilmer High School has started the season undefeated through five games. They are picking up where they left off last year when they won the 3A State Championship. Johnson and current Texas commit, Curtis Brown, lead a tremendously talented group of kids.
