Cedric Dockery to Miss Remainder of Season

An MRI revealed that sophomore guard Cedric Dockery tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the Longhorns 28-10 victory over Oklahoma last Saturday, football athletic trainer Kenny Boyd said.

Cedric Dockery will undergo reconstructive surgery on his right knee and miss the remainder of the season.

Mack Brown said in a release from UT:

"We're really disappointed for Cedric because he was playing so well. He was getting better every week and is one of the promising young guys on our offensive line. We look forward to him working really hard in his rehab so he can come back and be a veteran leader on our line in 2007."

After playing in nine games as a backup guard on Texas" 2005 Big 12 and National Championship teams, Dockery moved into the starting lineup this season. He started all six games for the Longhorns this season.

Adam Ulatoski will step in as the starter at right tackle and senior Justin Blalock will move over into the vacated right guard spot.
