Grand Prairie High School in Texas is home to a very talented defensive end. Cory Brown has been drawing a lot of interest from a number of Division I programs. Head Coach Gary Bartel raved about Brown's work ethic and personality on and off the field.
"He plays defensive end and offensive tackle. He is being recruited as a defensive end," Bartel said. "He is a good student. He hasn't taken the test yet, the SAT or the ACT, but he shouldn't have any trouble passing it. He has a great work ethic. He is well liked by both his peers and his teachers. He never misses anything and always has a smile on his face."
Cory Brown is a hair under 6-foot-6. He weighs 230 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds. He is already getting mail from a ton of schools.
"Everybody is sending him mail," Bartel said.
Grand Prairie High School currently holds a 3-4 record heading into the final three games of the season. Brown and his teammates will take on Euless Trinity High School this Friday night at Bedford's Pennington Field.
