Daniel Campbell: Already with 5 Offers

Aldine offensive tackle Daniel Campbell will be one of the most sought after prospects in the nation in the class of 2008. The consensus is that the massive tackle is one of the top junior offensive linemen in Texas. He has already picked up five scholarship offers from several highly respected programs.

"There have been a couple of them," Daniel Campbell said. "Oklahoma State offered me one, then Florida, BYU, Baylor and U of H (Houston). Miami is talking about working their way up to it."

Campbell is trying to keep his options open as of right now. However, he did mention two of his top schools that he grew up rooting for as a kid.

"Right now, I am interested in all of them. I am still in the thinking process. I will have to sit down with my parents and make a decision later on," Campbell stated.

"My overall favorite would probably be Florida. They are a team that I have always enjoyed watching since I was young, them and Miami," Campbell said.

Campbell did not go to any camps over the summer because he was busy getting ready for his junior season.

"I didn't get a chance to. I was working out a lot and didn't really have time to go. I was going to attend the Texas and LSU camps, but I told the coaches I couldn't make it," Campbell said.

Campbell hasn't been to any college football games so far this year either, but he is planning on being in Austin later this year for the Oklahoma State game.

The 6-foot-6, 325-pound Campbell has a massive frame and is illusively quick for his size. He earned honorable mention all-district for his performance as a sophomore and definitely has a bright future in front of him.
