Rosenburg Terry cornerback Anthony Brown may be one of the best pure athletes in the junior class inside the Lone Star State. He has the ability to play anywhere in the secondary and also plays receiver and returns kicks. Head Coach Tim Tekyl talked about Brown's ability and his chances of playing Division I football.
"He is just a football player," Tekyl said. "I coached college football for 11 years, and he is a Division I player. He is a great athlete. He is a corner for us. You don't find many corners that are over six feet tall. He is just an athlete."
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Anthony Brown has a great frame for a kid playing in the secondary. He has put together a good season on both sides of the ball this year. He has five interceptions on defense and 238 receiving yards with two touchdowns on offense. He has also returned six kickoffs and taken two of them to the house.
It appears that this kid could make a big splash on the college football landscape in a couple of years. He is probably one of the best pure cornerbacks in the state of Texas.
