Jeremy Gray Talks Recruiting

Sherman Defensive end Jeremy Gray could develop into a highly recruited Division I prospect. He has been drawing a lot of interest from several schools in and around the state of Texas. Gray talked about the recruiting process and expressed interest in several Big 12 programs.

"I really don't know right now, but I am probably looking at OSU (Oklahoma State) and OU (Oklahoma)," Jeremy Gray said. "I would really like to go to Texas."

Gray revealed what he likes about each school.

"With OU, I like their football program and their school," Gray said. "With OSU, I like the big homecoming they have and their football team and school."

"I like the big rivalry between Texas and OU," Gray said about Texas.

The 6-foot-6, 235-pound Gray also plays on the offensive side of the ball. His frame and wingspan gives him a big advantage over shorter defenders at his tight end spot. Many people believe that he could eventually develop into an offensive tackle.

Gray has a ton of schools looking at him right now. Oklahoma State is showing the most interest at this point in time. Gray ran down the list of schools he is hearing from.

"There are quite a few," Gray said. "OSU, OU, Iowa, the Sun Devils and Duke. I think North Texas too."

Gray talked about the characteristics that he is looking for in a school.

"The most important things are the school, playing time and getting a good education," Gray said.

Gray hasn't made it out to a game this year, but he wants to try to get up to Norman to watch the Sooners by the end of the year.
