McCoy heads Big 12 revival
Dallas Morning News
Flouting recent tradition, Texas proved Saturday that it's possible to win without making an epic out of it. Colt McCoy didn't have to lead any record comebacks. Mack Brown made no guarantees at halftime. Texas beat Oklahoma State, 36-10. Ho-hum. You want drama? Sorry. Texas is fresh out.

Big 12 has been wild, unpredictable
Dallas Morning News
Who could have predicted the Big 12 this season? Anyone see Texas quarterback Colt McCoy becoming the nation's second-rated passer or part of the Heisman Trophy debate because his TD-to-INT ratio of 27-4 is on par with Ohio State's Troy Smith (22-3) and Notre Dame's Brady Quinn (25-4)?

His 27 touchdown passes this year break the record set by Simms in 2002 and tied by Young last year; Bobby Layne threw for two less scores in his entire career at Texas.

Leadership still uncertain for Texas basketball
Daily Texan
Every team has one. There's the guy who takes charge when the game is on the line. The player that gets on his teammates for not doing their job. But for the Texas men's basketball squad, that person remains to be announced.
