Hoops: Horns are No. 21 in Preseason AP Poll

Despite having no returning starters from last year's Elite Eight squad, the Longhorn men's basketball team is ranked No. 21 in the Associated Press preseason poll. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the Longhorns have been ranked in the AP preseason poll.

The Coaches' Poll came out last week and had the Horns at No. 19. On Monday, the preseason AP Poll was announced at the Longhorns are 21st.

Texas has now made 11 appearances in school history in the AP preseason poll, including nine of the last 11 years.

There are three Big 12 teams in the preseason Top 25. Joining the Longhorns in the rankings are the Kansas Jayhawks at No. 3 and Texas A&M at No. 13.
