Big Time Prospect at Arlington Lamar

Arlington Lamar is home to a very versatile athlete. Defensive end Chandler Spence has the ability to play just about any position on the football field. Head Coach Eddy Peach raved about Spence's ability on and off the football field.

"He is an athlete," Peach said. "He started at defensive end the last two years. He can also play tight end. He may have a chance to play quarterback next year. He is also a great punter and kicker."

Coach Peach also spoke highly about Chandler Spence's level of intelligence and his family background.

"He is a very smart kid," Peach said. "He comes from a good family. Both of his parents are in education."

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Spence already has the body build to be a dominant player on the next level. He will most likely be recruited to play middle linebacker or his natural position, defensive end.

Spence has been getting mail from schools all over the nation and was also very active over the summer attending several football camps.

"Just about everybody is showing interest," Peach said. He is getting mail from Texas, but I haven't talked to Bruce Chambers to see how they feel about him yet."

"He went to two or three camps. I think he went to Auburn. I know that he went to a few," Peach said.
