Another Standout at Tatum

Tatum High School in Texas has produced a ton of talent over the past couple of years. Seniors Lennon Creer and Darnius Moore have a ton of offers on the table as signing day closes in. Next year, Creer and Moore will pass the torch to another standout on offense. Many schools are already starting to notice junior wide receiver Chance Blackmon.

"He can run and catch the football," Head Coach Andy Evans said. "He plays in the secondary on defense and wide receiver on offense. He has 4.5 speed."

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Blackmon is a tremendous athlete. He has big play ability on both sides of the ball. With many big time programs recruiting Creer and Moore, Blackmon has already gotten some exposure from college recruiters.

"We haven't had a lot of schools in here to look at him," Evans said. "Most of the schools are still recruiting Lennon Creer and Darnius Moore. The ones that have been through here, like Florida, always pick him out when they watch film."

Evans also mentioned Georgia as another SEC school that really likes Blackmon's ability. He has the potential to be one of the top wide receiver prospects out of the state of Texas next year.
