Troy Franklin Talks Recruiting

Celina High School is home to one of the most dominant defensive lines in the state of Texas. The Bobcats are led on defense by junior defensive tackle Troy Franklin. Franklin talked about Celina's flawless season and updated where he stands as far as recruiting goes.

"It's (recruiting) going good. I have been to a bunch of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State games. I got invited to go to a Nebraska game this week, but I am not going. I am going to the Oklahoma State game," Troy Franklin said.

It is clear that the two Oklahoma schools sit atop Franklin's list of top schools. He has been in regular contact with members from both coaching staffs including Bob Stoops at Oklahoma and defensive line coach Nelson Barnes at Oklahoma State. Franklin also likes Nebraska, Iowa State, UConn and Notre Dame.

Franklin has put together a monster junior season. He has recorded 75 tackles and 11 sacks through 11 games this year.

"It's (the season) going good. We are undefeated and in the playoffs. We play Dallas Madison this week. We have one of the top rushing defenses in the state," Franklin said.
