Gonzaga is ranked 21st in the coaches poll and 22nd by the Associated Press - giving the Longhorns their first ranked opponent of the season.
Jaguars can't slow Cook, Longhorns

It could be Earnesia Williams running the floor from one end to the other like the athlete Texas needs her to be. Yes, things are good for the Longhorns right now. And while their 71-23 victory over winless Southernat the Erwin Center doesn't make the Longhorns national title contenders, it's another early-season victory for a team that needs as many as it can get.
Longhorns topple Southern 71-23
Going into its game versus Southern, Texas figured it would dominate. But the Longhorns did much more than that defensively, defeating the Jaguars at home 71-23.
