Excited to be in San Antonio

Some of the top juniors in the nation are in San Antonio this week for the U.S. Army National Combine. The state of Texas is loaded with offensive line prospects, and Aldine offensive tackle Daniel Campbell is one of the best. He ran down a list of his top three schools and named an early favorite in the recruiting process.

"Right now, Texas is number one probably and then it would be Florida. Their coach came down and saw me. Then I would probably say Oklahoma State," Daniel Campbell said.

Campbell talked about what separates Texas and Florida from the rest of the pack.

"Texas and Florida have one of the best offensive line programs. A lot of offensive linemen go to the pros straight out of there," Campbell said. "I like the way that Coach (Mac) McWhorter from Texas coaches and the Florida coach too. Florida is like a childhood dream, but Texas is my top school right now."

The 6-foot-6, 325-pound Campbell is without a doubt one of the best offensive tackles in the state. He already has offers from five different schools.

"Florida, BYU, Baylor, Texas, Texas Tech and Texas A&M," Campbell said. "I think that is about it."

Check in later this week to see how Campbell fares against some of the best talent in the 08' class.
