Texas Falls Short to Oklahoma State in 3 OTs
InsideTexas.com
It took three overtimes and a desperation trey from Mario Boggan with less than four seconds remaining to lift No. 12/14 Oklahoma State past No. 21/23 Texas, 105-103, in Stillwater Wednesday. If this is January, what will the madness of March bring?

Boggan Outduels Durant; Cowboys Win

Mario Boggan turned to Texas phenom Kevin Durant in the third overtime, smiled and told him, "Let's go, Showtime." The fantastic finish that followed will go down in Oklahoma State history. Boggan set career highs with 37 points and 20 rebounds and hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 3.2 seconds left in the third overtime to lift the 12th-ranked Cowboys to a 105-103 victory over No. 21 Texas on Tuesday night.

Boggan hits big one in 3OT win
Dallas Morning News
Texas' Kevin Durant may soon be headed for the NBA. But on a chilly Tuesday night, Oklahoma State senior Mario Boggan showed the flashy freshman how to win tight Big 12 barnburners. Durant seemingly sealed victory for No. 21 Texas with a three-point play. But Boggan got the ball near mid-court, raced to the left wing, spun through traffic and drained a clutch 3-pointer with 3.2 seconds remaining to clinch a 105-103 triple-overtime thriller.

Oklahoma State edges Texas in 3 OT

The game was billed as No. 12 Oklahoma State against No. 21 Texas, a nationally-televised Big 12 showdown between a pair of top 25 schools. In the end, the good folks at ESPN probably could have just cleared the court and let OSU's Mario Boggan and UT's Kevin Durant play one-on-one. First one to 105 wins. In a duel that went down to the wire and took three overtimes to complete, Boggan outlasted Durant as the Cowboys outlasted the Longhorns, 105-103, Tuesday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Longhorns Insider: Numbers say Durant is gone
San Antonio Express-News
Texas coach Rick Barnes stunned writers from across the Big 12 earlier this week when, on his weekly conference call, he offered the following bolt from the blue regarding ultra-talented freshman Kevin Durant: "Regardless of what people think," Barnes said, "Kevin Durant has never, ever said to me that he was going to come to school for one year and be done." Taken at face value, it sounds like a bombshell.

Three-OT thriller

This was an instant classic. Mario Boggan hit a winning 3-point shot with 3.2 seconds remaining, giving 12th-ranked Oklahoma State a 105-103 triple-overtime triumph over 21st-ranked Texas on Tuesday night in one of the wildest games ever staged at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Cowboys win fight that lived up to its billing
Tulsa World
Down goes Texas! Down goes Texas! Down goes Texas! That was the final decision Tuesday night in an epic heavyweight basketball fight between Oklahoma State and Texas in one of the most thrilling hoops contests in the history of legendary Gallagher-Iba Arena. It took three hours and three overtimes to end it. And when it was over, it was a gutty bunch of Cowboys who were left standing by a 105-103 margin.
