Alfred Dupree Recruiting Update

Skyline's Alfred Dupree plays with passion and fire on the football field. He has already received two early scholarship offers and has been invited to a handful of junior days.

"I just received an offer from Kansas State yesterday," Alfred Dupree said. "I have two offers from Oklahoma and Kansas State."

Junior days are always a very important aspect of the recruiting game. Dupree has already received invites from Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Florida.

"I was going to attend Oklahoma's junior day, but it got canceled because of bad weather," Dupree said. "I am going to go to the one at Oklahoma State on the 14th of next month, and I am going to try to make it to Texas A&M."

Dupree has also been getting mail from LSU and Florida State. He expects to start hearing more from them in the near future.

Dupree has narrowed his list down to six schools. He likes Oklahoma, Florida State, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, LSU and Oklahoma State.

Early in the recruiting process, Dupree was very high on the Oklahoma. In fact, he almost gave his verbal commitment to the Sooners back in December.

"Back during Christmas break, I was going to good ahead and commit to Oklahoma until I watched the Boise State game," Dupree said. "I've decided to wait a little longer."

How much interest have the Texas Longhorns been showing Dupree?

"They have sent me a few hand written letters," Dupree said.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Dupree was on his way to having an outstanding season before he was forced to miss the last five games of his junior campaign.
