Campbell: 'What I'm Looking Forward To'

Aldine, Texas offensive lineman Daniel Campbell was very impressive at the U.S. Army National Combine earlier this month. Since then, his scholarship offer total has grown to eight and several teams have already extended junior day invitations. Campbell told Inside Texas where he's headed over the next month.

Daniel Campbell has been invited to junior days at Texas, Texas A&M, Florida and Oklahoma State. He is going to try to attend at both in-state events.

"I've been invited to Texas A&M's Junior Day, Texas' Junior Day, Florida's and Oklahoma State's too," Campbell said. "I'm probably going to go to the Texas Junior Day on the 24th (February). They have two. One is on the 11th and the other is on the 24th. I will probably go to the one on the 24th."

Campbell chats with Texas Offensive Line Coach Mac McWhorter just about every other day. The Aldine product is hoping that Texas extends him an offer when he travels to Austin to compete in their junior day.

"Well, that is what I'm looking forward to," Campbell said. "If they do, I will be very happy."

The 6-foot-6, 325-pound Campbell came to San Antonio earlier this month with five scholarship offers already in tact from Florida, BYU, Baylor, Texas Tech and Texas A&M. He has picked up three more over the course of the last few weeks.

"Kansas and Ole Miss offered me and Oklahoma State," Campbell said.

Campbell received First Team All-District honors for his performance on the football field as a junior at Aldine.
