Aghayere: Heading To Austin For Jr. Day

Garland defensive end Chancey Aghayere is one of the most physically gifted prospects in the state. His combination of speed and power can be lethal at times, but his potential is what makes him such an interesting prospect. He has already received junior day invites from four Big 12 schools, one of which resulted in a scholarship offer.

"I have been invited to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas A&M," Chancey Aghayere said. "I made it to the Oklahoma one. It went good. They offered me a scholarship."

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Aghayere also has a scholarship offer from Texas A&M. He plans on attending all four junior days over the next few weeks. He will be in Austin on the weekend of the 24th to attend Texas’ second Junior Day.

Aghayere has been hearing from a number of schools early in the recruiting process including Baylor, Boston College, Iowa, Kansas State, LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Wisconsin. Aghayere singled out five schools that sit at the top of his list.

"LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State," Aghayere said.

The Garland product followed up a strong sophomore season in which he earned 11-5A Defensive Sophomore of the year honors with an even better junior campaign. Aghayere recorded 54 tackles and five sacks during as a junior.
