Cook Enjoys Texas Jr. Day

Altair Rice quarterback Taylor Cook was one of a number of junior prospects in Austin yesterday for Texas' first junior day. He did not receive an offer but is definitely on the Longhorns' list. He talked about the experience.

"It went really good. The coaches were very nice. It was pretty cool. We walked around campus and toured the facilities. We went to a couple of meetings and talked to the coaches. That was about it," Taylor Cook said.

Cook was very impressed with the campus and facilities at the University of Texas.

"They were very good," Cook said. "They have top of the line stuff. Everything was real nice."

Cook did not receive a scholarship offer during the visit, but he did get to chat with a couple of the coaches.

"They just thanked me for coming and told me that I was on their list," Cook said.
