Big 12 Battle For Humphrey

Cedar Hill DT Jarvis Humphrey has become one of the most talked about prospects over the last couple of weeks. He has already visited Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma at their respective junior days. His final visit is set for this weekend in Stillwater. Humphrey has narrowed his choices down to these four Big 12 programs. Who is in the lead for this future star and where do the others stack up?

Jarvis Humphrey told Inside Texas last week that he was likely headed to Oklahoma State over the weekend. Things changed and he ended up checking out Texas A&M instead. He was so impressed with the campus and facilities in College Station that the Aggies jumped into the race for Humphrey's signature.

"I ended up going to Texas A&M last weekend. It was nice. The facilities are nice. They have real nice dorm rooms and the weight room is nice," Humphrey said. "A&M is probably number three on my list right now."

If A&M is number three on Humphrey's list, then where do the other schools stack up?

Humphrey listed Texas as his top school. He likes the atmosphere on the 40 Acres. He has said in previous interviews that it felt like home in Austin. The Oklahoma State Cowboys are currently second on Humphrey's list. He has a great relationship with the coaching staff in Stillwater and likes the direction in which the program is headed. Oklahoma was fourth.

Humphrey will likely make his decision within the next week or two. However, this is not discouraging other schools from making a run at the Cedar Hill product. Humphrey is still receiving new offers each and every week.

"I got offered by Miami. I think Michigan offered and Alabama," Humphrey said.
