The Longhorns have hit a snag that only Kevin Durant can easily untangle. If Durant leaves for the NBA draft as most expect, the Longhorns will need to find a true scorer to return to the elite status that coach Rick Barnes has created: four NCAA Sweet 16s or beyond in the last six years.

The Texas Longhorns have finally gone outside the "Lone Star State" to secure a verbal commitment from quite possibly the top player in Colorado, Nolan Brewster, but he is not a stranger to the Longhorn program or Head Coach Mack Brown.

Lynn Katoa: Visits on the Horizon
Texas locked up its 17th commitment in the class of 2008 when the first out-of-state prospect, Nolan Brewster, gave his verbal to the Longhorns Monday afternoon. The thoughts of the Longhorn faithful have now shifted to another out-of-state kid. Salt Lake City, Utah linebacker Lynn Katoa heard back from the Texas coaching staff on Monday and big plans are ahead.
