Roberson: LB or FB?

The Texas Longhorns have seemingly created a pipeline at Brenham High School over the last two years. Brandon Collins and Ahmard Howard both signed with UT in February, and Ryan Roberson and Luke Poehlmann jumped on early offers after attending Texas' first junior day. Roberson checked out the Longhorns spring game on Saturday and had a great time.

"Yes sir," Ryan Roberson replied when asked if he had a good time on Saturday.

Roberson is still unsure about where he will play when he gets to Austin, but he got a chance to see how Texas uses both its fullbacks and linebackers during the scrimmage.

"I get to pick from linebacker or fullback," Roberson said. "There were about seven linebackers and four or five running backs that I watched. They were running the dive a lot. When I saw that, I got real excited. You don't see many people run the dive that often."

Roberson got a chance to talk to both running back commits from Texas' 2008 class. These three have the potential to create a dynamic ground game for the Longhorns in the future.

"I talked to a couple of guys that are in my class," Roberson said. "I talked to Tre Newton and Jeremy Hills."

As a junior, Roberson carried the ball 46 times for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He has already started to prepare for his senior season as Brenham has already started spring practice.

"We already started. It's going good," Roberson said.
