Texas still has a couple of spots left open in the 2008 class and will likely look to add depth at defensive end and linebacker. Dallas Skyline's Alfred Dupree is being recruited at both positions and there has been some speculation that he might hold a Texas offer. Are the Longhorns one of the latest schools to offer?
has picked up a couple of offers over the past few weeks, but a Texas
offer is not in the fold. In fact, Dupree hasn't heard from the Longhorn coaches in quite some time.
"Tech and Baylor," Dupree replied when asked which schools had offered within the state of Texas. "I have gotten offers from Colorado State, Kansas and Kansas State over the last few weeks."
Dupree currently holds offers from Colorado State, Kansas, Kansas State, Alabama, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas Tech, Minnesota, Purdue and Arizona. Despite having already picked up 11 offers, Dupree hasn't started narrowing things down yet.
"I haven't even started yet," Alfred Dupree said. "Right now, I'm not worried about it."
Dupree does want to check out what some of the local schools have to offer this summer.
"I really haven't decided," Dupree said when asked about summer camps. "I'm pretty sure that I am going to Ole Miss with my cousin, and I will probably go to some more."
Dupree and the rest of the Skyline prospects are set to start spring practice next Monday.
