Johnson: 'Deep down, I'm still a Texas boy'
A lot has changed in Dravannti Johnson's life the past couple of days. On Friday, he de-committed from Texas A&M and quickly set up a visit with the Texas Longhorns. He made his way down to Austin on Saturday to check things out and felt in his heart that he was where he wanted to be. On Sunday, Johnson became the 19th verbal in Texas' 2008 class.
Schools Readying to Check Out Ibiloye
South Garland safety Joseph Ibiloye is one of the hottest uncommitted prospects in the state of Texas right now. It's nearly the same scene every time. Randy Boone jogs in from the dugout calm as can be and toes the rubber with another Texas win on the line. An inning or two later, he leaves the mound with a celebratory yell and fist pump. The senior Longhorn is Texas' closer, a title he's held since asking for it during Texas' series with Long Beach State earlier this year. "That's his unselfishness, his pride and wanting to fulfill a role on the team," said Texas coach Augie Garrido, whose No. 5 Longhorns host UT-Pan American today at 6:05 p.m.
