Who are the lucky 10 that made the list?
It was previously reported that Scott had an offer from the Longhorns. This is true, but he has yet to receive anything in writing.
"I haven't gotten a written offer, but they have offered over the phone," Scott said. "I would really like one in writing."
As many Longhorn fans know, it is Mack Brown's policy not to extend a written offer until he meets a prospect in person. Is Scott planning on taking a visit to the 40 Acres?
"Yeah, no doubt," Scott said. "I am going to take a visit down there."
Scott is one of many out-of-state prospects that have recently taken an interest in Texas.
"Just all the tradition they have with their running backs," Scott replied when asked what he liked about Texas. "They can get the job done on the ground and through the air. They have a good defense as well."
Despite the interest that Scott has shown in Texas, the Longhorn coaching staff is not one that he hears from regularly. Scott mentioned five schools that have been showing the most interest as of late.
"I'm really liking LSU right now. They are recruiting me hard," Scott said. "USC has gotten on board, and Colorado is doing a pretty good job. Florida and Florida State are doing an excellent job as well."
Despite posting two smoking hot 40 times during the combine over the weekend, Scott doesn't base his game solely on speed. He uses a combination of speed and power to dominate the opposition.
"Yeah," Scott said when asked about his speed. "At the same time, I have power. I can run over somebody if I have to. I think it's a good combination to have speed and power."
