Deveric Gallington: Up to 13

Three months ago, it appeared that the Texas was done recruiting offensive linemen in the 2008 class, but this was before J'Marcus Webb and Roy Watts announced plans to transfer. Could the Longhorns look to add another big man? Richland's Deveric Gallington caught the eyes of many with his performance at the Dallas combine. Does Texas have a shot at landing Gallington?

"Oh it's been going good," Deveric Gallington said. "I have 13 offers right now. I am going to Florida next month for a camp. They haven't offered yet, but most likely they are going to offer."

Gallington came to the Scout Combine in Valley Ranch, Texas without an offer. However, his performance at the Dallas Cowboys practice facility proved that he had been somewhat overlooked. In fact, everyone in attendance knew that Gallington was for real when he gave R.J. Washington all he could handle in one-on-ones.

Gallington ran down a list of the schools that have offered over the past two months.

"Purdue, SMU, Louisiana Tech, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Washington State, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Kansas State, New Mexico and Utah," Gallington said.

Gallington has already amassed a pretty impressive list of offers, but he already has a good idea about where he wants to play on the next level, even if the Longhorns come knocking.

"Well, I'm pretty positive about next month (Florida visit)," Gallington said. "If they offer, I will probably commit."

Has Gallington received any other attention from in-state schools other than SMU and Texas Tech?

"SMU and Texas Tech are the only ones," Gallington said.
