Texas Announces 2007-08 Basketball Schedule

Texas announced its basketball schedule for the upcoming season. A road game at UCLA in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series and games against Big 10 foes Wisconsin and Michigan State headline the schedule.

Kevin Durant may be gone, but Texas returns the other four starters for Rick Barnes' tenth season in Austin. The Horns went 25-10 last year and lost in the second round of the NCAA tournament. Texas will look to improve upon that with a more experienced squad, but has some tough contests on the schedule

Eleven of Texas' 16 regular-season league contests will be televised nationally and Texas is scheduled to appear on ESPN's Big Monday four times. In addition, ESPN will televise the Texas-Michigan State contest (Dec. 22) from the Palace of Auburn Hills, while ESPN2 is set to broadcast the Texas-Wisconsin game (Dec. 29) in Austin.
