USA Today Preseason Coaches' Poll Released

The USA Today Preseason Coaches' Poll was released on Friday and the Texas Longhorns are ranked No. 4 to start the 2007 season.

The USC Trojans are No. 1 with 45 of the 60 possible first place votes. LSU is at No. 2 with four first place votes. Next is the defending national champion Florida Gators who are third, but also hold nine first place votes.

Texas is No. 4 is the first official poll of the year, but no voter put the Longhorns in the top spot. Michigan rounds out the top five and holds two first place votes.

In the rest of the Big 12, Oklahoma is a No. 8, Nebraska is at 19 and Texas A&M just squeezes in at 25. The Longhorns' September 8th opponent, TCU, is ranked 22nd.
