Shipley, Dockery May Be 'Limited'

FL Jordan Shipley (hamstring) will be "limited" during the early part of two-a-days while RG Cedric Dockery "may or may not be limited", but both are expected to fully recovered by the September 1 home-opener, Texas coach Mack Brown said Sunday.

FL Jordan Shipley "tweaked" a hamstring during voluntary workouts last month. In addition, RG Cedric Dockery (knee) "may or may not" be limited this week, Brown added. Dockery suffered a season-ending torn ACL against Oklahoma last October. He rehabbed during spring football but reportedly participated fully in summer workouts.

"Our routine has been that, when you have knee operation within a year, you don't get through both sets of two-a-days," Brown said. "We may limit Cedric some, but that will be based on what we see of him in practice."

Otherwise, the remainder of the team appears to be physically -- and academically -- healthy when August camp begins Monday evening at the Forty Acres. For the second straight year, no Longhorn freshmen will be delayed by NCAA clearinghouse issues.

"Everybody's in school and ready to go," Brown told Inside Texas. "We think everybody is okay with summer school but, obviously, we have about another week or so before summer school is finished. Ironically enough, over the last 10 days of the summer, we're in the best shape academically than we've ever been for a Texas football team. There's some good news there, too."
