Lynn Katoa: Mind Made Up?

Salt Lake City, Utah linebacker Lynn Katoa visited Oklahoma over the weekend and watched the Sooners crush North Texas 79-3. The five-star linebacker had mentioned earlier in the week that he might be close to making a decision between the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners. Is this still the case?

"No," Katoa told Inside Texas when asked if he had made a decision regarding his college future. "I've talked to family members and they told me that time is something you can't have back. They told me not to get tunnel vision right after a visit. I told Oklahoma that I liked them a lot and I still like Texas, but I don't want to commit without checking out what other schools have to offer."

Katoa told the Oklahoma site on Scout.com that he plans to graduate early so his decision "will be coming over the next few months."

But he also appears to have a new leader even if a decision is not imminent. "I told the (OU) coaching staff that they are now my favorite, but I am definitely going to take some official visits and look at all of my options," Katoa told Sooners Illustrated. "The visit was a 10 out of 10 and much better then I expected and I have to say that Coach Stoops and the rest of the staff made a huge impression on me."

"I met them in person. They are great people," Katoa told Inside Texas of the Sooner staff. "Coach Stoops is really respectful. He actually took us on a tour around campus before the game even started. He acted like a normal guy. It was really incredible. I was surprised at how respectful he was with taking the time to show me around."
